About Art & Wheels Basel 2015
Art & Wheels Basel is an event that brings together
bikers, builders, artists and the average gearhead. We try to open up the spectrum
of traditional biker imaginery and present the versatile culture of modern
motorcycle riding culture. There is more to it than beards, skulls, beer and
leather jackets. Modern motorcycle culture involves aspects of Skateboarding,
Punk Rock, Hot Rodding, BMX and a million other things.
Our event brings together all these different sub-cultures
under the focus of custom motorcycles and the artform being used to
build them.
Present at the event will be various custom motorcycles,
paintings, photographs, handcrafted art and much more. Additionally, there will be an outside parking lot where
spectators can park their custom bikes. It will be possible to directly buy art
from our present artists.
The event will be organized by three people, from all different
age and knowledge about the contemporary biker scene around the world. This
will broaden up the spectrum even more,
securing the fact of having the old school and the new school present at our event.
Bringing together various aspects of this contemporary and
historical culture.
This is what the show is about.
Simply Art & Wheels.
